Mounted on the main tool slide, turning tool holders are designed to quickly reduce stock prior to other operations.

Knee Turners are a great way to make small changes in part geometry from the end tool slide. Typical applications include: OD and ID chamfering, as well as a variety of OD turning jobs.

Knee turners come in a variety of styles from the reversible knee turner shown above (reverses to fit different positions) to the 45 degree turner shown at right. The main advantages of turning include freeing-up a position on the cross slide and making inexpensive tooling in-house.
