New G-Series™ Shaving System Does Wide Parts Better

Schlitter's new G-Series™ Shaving System makes short work of long parts. The integrated tool post can be designed to hold an extra-wide insert in either Carbide or HSS. This system is much more rigid than any system which uses an old fashioned dovetail tool. Note that the over 4" wide insert is fully supported. The operator makes quick and reliable tool changes without adjusting the holder for size or taper.

Our new G-Series™ Shaving System is designed around both an improved float mechanism and the ability to adapt to either traditional dovetail tooling or Schlitter's advanced insert style tooling. Schlitter's advanced insert system is much more rigid than any system which uses an old fashioned dovetail tool. Note that the over 4" wide insert is fully supported, a brazed carbide tool would have at most 25% the rigidity of this system. The operator makes quick and reliable tool changes without adjusting the holder for size or taper. Note that for parts this wide, you will need to add a second roll holder to support the work.
