Form Tool Holders

Flat Form Tool Holder

More rigid that other form tool holders, Circulars are the holder of choice for high production volumes using HSS tools. Great for narrow forms, grooving, etc.... Tools tend to be less accurate than dovetail tools.

While largely replaced by dovetail form tool holders, some prefer circular form tool holders for certain jobs. Ours is rock-solid and easy-to-use.

Dovetail form tool holders are the most common form tool holder used today, partly because of new technology which helps make dovetail form tools the most accurate form tools made today.

Ours dovetail holders are designed to precise standards and will absolutely preserve the setup throughout the production run. Dovetail holders are available in three configurations: standard, infeed adjustable and infeed adjustable with taper adjustment.

Flat form tool holders make for quick, easy adjustments to diameter and location. Flat tools are the least expensive and are great for quick fixes and low volume where accuracy is not your first concern.

Our heavy duty holders withstand heavy cuts yet are easy to adjust, making setup quick and error-free.

Form Tooling

We make dovetail and flat tooling with typical delivery of 1 week to 10 days.

We manufacture precision blanks and finished tools in HSS and brazed carbide.

Delivery is under 2 weeks. We can also work with you to provide next day delivery on most tools. If you have lots of setups we can help you reduce setup time with datum point tooling, making job changeover a breeze.

Advanced NEW Direct Mount Inserts promote unrestricted coolant and chip flow while giving you all the benefits of insert style tooling.

No clamps to get in the way. Inserts are available as blanks that you can EDM yourself or as finished tools. Inserts are available in both HSS and carbide.

We make a variety of insert style flat form tooling for the ultimate in both precision and ease-of-use. Screw on inserts promote unrestricted coolant and chip flow for better finishes than other systems.

Skiving can be a great substitute for forming for many parts. Skive tools increase feeds 2X-3X with better accuracy than form tools (skiving corrects for infeed error). Skive tools also have high positive geometries which reduce cutting forces and provide better part finishes, especially in "gummy" materials.

Is Deflection an Issue?

Our forming supports will set your part straight. Available for a wide variety of screw machines, our 2-roll supports mount on the main tool slide. Use standard straight rolls or tapered rolls for supporting pipe thread diameters.

This easy-to-use holder will save you hours of aggravation caused by part deflection and vibration.
