Tooling for Forming & Shaving

At Schlitter, we are committed to the delivery of excellent tooling within 10 days or less. After all, the best tooling in the world won't do you any good if your machine is down because the tooling is late.

We have several programs to help you get your tooling within a day. Call us at 1-800-521-1743 and ask about our Tooling Now!™ program. We'll stock your dovetail tool or insert blanks and simply finish them as needed. You'll benefit from quicker deliveries of finished tools (often same or next day) and lower prices on your dovetail and/or insert blanks.

An Interest in Inserts? As production quantities drop, inserts become an ever more attractive option. Our Direct Mount™ inserts mount directly to a dovetail adapter or advanced tool holder (like our new G-Series Shaving System). Because there's no clamp, coolant and chips can flow across the face of the insert without interference. Our unique positioning system is as easy to use as changing a light bulb. Send us a part print for a same-day quote. Our Direct Mount™ inserts are now available in all widths in HSS and up to 1.5" wide in carbide (2" wide inserts available soon).
